Shopify products, cart, checkout, orders

Keep running the store in Shopify. The app reads your products and prices from it.

Checkout stays Shopify’s own.

An example: a coffee roaster’s store.

A native front on your store.
The rest stays in Shopify.

Shopify documents two pieces for native apps. The Storefront API gives the app your products, collections, search, the cart and customer accounts. Checkout Kit, an open-source SDK for Swift, opens Shopify’s own checkout inside the app, with your branding and payment methods.

  1. Name, notes, variants, price from your products, through the Storefront API
  2. Grind and size your variants, as segmented controls instead of dropdowns
  3. Add to cart the same cart the website uses
  4. Check out Shopify’s own checkout, through Checkout Kit; the order lands in your admin
An example, a coffee roaster’s product page in the app. The words on it come from the store through Shopify’s APIs; the store itself is not copied.

App builders, wrappers.
Or an app made for your store.

The Shopify App Store’s Mobile app builder category listed 106 apps on October 1, 2026. A native shell around your store’s address is the other shortcut, and Apple’s Guideline 4.2 calls that a repackaged website.

AirBuild reads your store, its collections, products and the way people buy, and builds an iPhone app for it in SwiftUI. Your theme, apps and admin stay in Shopify; tell us which apps your store relies on, and we plan the iOS app around them.

What to bring.
Just the link.
